Another healthy week for our family. It is being noticed by therapists, specialists, friends and family that Lachy is being more vocal. I have never really doubted his understanding nor his ability to comprehend but even I am happily surprised by the “conversations” I am starting to have with him. It’s an amazing feeling. Yet another feeling I wouldn’t have appreciated if not for Lachy. It’s incredible the difference it makes being able to stay healthy for a period of time.

I hope people understand that my other 2 boys mean the world to me exactly as Lachy does. Hopefully I will be a better, more appreciative and grateful parent for them. The reason I don’t mention them or their names very often is because I am protecting their privacy. I don’t mean to exploit Lachy but it’s Lachy’s condition and our experience I am trying to raise awareness in the community, locally and globally so that means being open about Lachy but the rest of my family to a degree need to make their own choices on what they want people to know.
